Abstrak

abstrak—Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas model discovery learning berbantuan media audio visual sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi berbicara teks negosiasi pada peserta didik kelas X-1 MAN 3 Bojonegoro tahun pelajaran 2025/2026. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya capaian berbicara teks negosiasi, yang teridentifikasi melalui hasil observasi pra tindakan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 60,9 dan berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang ditetapkan sebesar 75, serta ketuntasan klasikal yang dicapai 27,3% dari 22 peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Arikunto yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus menjalankan prosedur sistematis yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada tiga tahap yaitu pra tindakan, Siklus I, dan Siklus II. Instrumen penelitian mencakup tes unjuk kerja berbicara dengan rubrik penilaian berupa aspek kebahasaan, isi, suprasegmental, dan sikap atau performa, lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan peserta didik, angket respons, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif mencakup nilai rata-rata, persentase ketuntasan, dan skor N-gain ternormalisasi. Data kualitatif dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran ini berlangsung secara efektif dan semakin optimal dari siklus ke siklus, tercermin dari meningkatnya skor aktivitas guru dari 77,3% menjadi 97,7%, serta aktivitas peserta didik dari 72,9% menjadi 95,8%. Capaian kompetensi berbicara meningkat signifikan, dengan nilai rata-rata kelas bertumbuh dari 60,9 menjadi 72,3 pada Siklus I, kemudian mencapai 81,4 pada Siklus II, disertai peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal dari 27,3% menjadi 100%. Respons peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat positif, dengan 90,9% memberikan penilaian positif pada angket pasca siklus. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa sinergi antara model discovery learning dan media audio visual secara efektif meningkatkan kompetensi berbicara teks negosiasi peserta didik kelas X-1 MAN 3 Bojonegoro.

Abstract—This study investigates the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media in improving negotiation text speaking competence among students of Class X-1 at MAN 3 Bojonegoro in the 2025/2026 academic year. The problem underlying this research was the low achievement of students’ negotiation speaking competence, as identified through pre-action observations, which showed a class average score of 60.9, below the Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC) of 75, with a classical mastery level of only 27.3% of the 22 students. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on Arikunto’s model, implemented in two cycles. Each cycle followed a systematic procedure consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected at three stages: pre-action, Cycle I, and Cycle II. Research instruments included a speaking performance test with an assessment rubric covering language use, content, suprasegmental aspects, and attitude/performance, as well as observation sheets for teacher and student activities, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores, mastery percentages, and normalized N-gain scores. Qualitative data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing based on the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that the implementation of the learning model was effective and increasingly optimized across cycles, as reflected in the improvement of teacher activity scores from 77.3% to 97.7% and student activity scores from 72.9% to 95.8%. Students’ speaking competence improved significantly, with the class average score increasing from 60.9 to 72.3 in Cycle I and reaching 81.4 in Cycle II, accompanied by an increase in classical mastery from 27.3% to 100%. Students’ responses to the learning process were categorized as highly positive, with 90.9% providing favorable responses in the post-cycle questionnaire. These findings demonstrate that the integration of the Discovery Learning model and audiovisual media effectively enhances negotiation text speaking competence among students of Class X-1 at MAN 3 Bojonegoro.
