Penguatan Kesadaran Kewarganegaraan Melalui Interprestasi Hak Cipta: Kajian Undang-Undang Nomor 28 Tahun 2014
Abstract
This study examines the strengthening of civic awareness through copyright interpretation among musicians in Bojonegoro Regency, referring to Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study included local musicians, music communities, and music lovers in Bojonegoro Regency. The results of the study indicate that most musicians have understood copyright as a form of protection for works and a manifestation of civic responsibility in respecting the creativity of others. However, the implementation of copyright awareness still faces several obstacles, such as low legal literacy, limited socialization, and the development of digital media that facilitates the distribution of works without permission. The research findings also indicate that strengthening civic awareness can be done through legal education, music seminars, the role of creative communities, and the use of social media as a medium for copyright awareness campaigns. Thus, copyright interpretation not only plays a role in protecting works, but also becomes a means of forming the character of responsible citizens, obeying the law, and upholding ethics in their work.
