Abstract

The dominance of the convolutional method in the form of teacher-centered learning in Pancasila education lessons and the low academic achievement of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sugihwaras are the problems behind this study. The focus of this research is to determine the implementation of the make a match learning model and its effect on student learning outcomes. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. All grade VII students totaling 177 students are the population in this study. The sample was determined by purposive sampling, which assigned 30 students as the experimental group and 30 students as the control group. Data was collected through test instruments, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed statistically descriptive and inferential. Hypothesis testing was carried out with an independent sample t-test formula showing a significance value of less than 0.001, this result states a rejection of,  and received  . Based on the statistical analysis, it has been shown that there is a significant difference in academic ability between students in the experimental class who apply the make a match learning model and students in the control class who apply conventional methods
