“DAMPAK PERNIKAHAN DINI TERHADAP TINGKAT PERCERAIAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF SOSIAL DI KECAMATAN SOKO TAHUN 2024-2025”
Abstract
Early marriage is common in Soko District and other areas. This study examines the social impact of early marriage on the divorce rate in Soko District in 2024–2025. This research is qualitative and descriptive. We collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research subjects included the Head of the Soko District Religious Affairs Office (KUA), judges at the Tuban Religious Court, community leaders, victims of divorce due to early marriage, and early marriage organizers. The data show that early marriage significantly increases the divorce rate. The main factors causing divorce include emotional immaturity, unstable economic conditions, lack of communication, and a poor understanding of household responsibilities. From a social perspective, early marriage also creates social pressure and affects family resilience in the community. Efforts are needed from families, communities, and government institutions to minimize the occurrence of early marriage.
