Efektivitas Media Smart Box Berbantuan Wordwall Terhadap Civic Knowledge Materi Keberagaman Budaya
Abstract
PPKn subjects are important in fostering students' civic knowledge and character, particularly in understanding cultural diversity values. However, student participation in learning within grade VII of SMP Negeri 2 Jatirogo is still relatively low, leaving civic knowledge suboptimal. Therefore, an interactive and innovative media innovation is required in the learning process. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of Wordwall-assisted smart box media on improving students' civic knowledge regarding cultural diversity material. A quantitative approach of quasi-experimental type with a nonequivalent control group design was applied. Data collection was conducted through observation, pre-test, post-test, student response questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research results indicated that students' responses to the media were in the very good category with a percentage of 83.32%. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis showed that the experimental class obtained an average score of 0.73 (high), while the control class obtained 0.29 (low). Based on the hypothesis testing, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was achieved, meaning Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. In conclusion, the implementation of Wordwall-assisted smart box media is proven effective in optimizing civic knowledge about cultural diversity for grade VII students at SMP N 2 Jatirogo.
