Pengaruh Resiliensi Matematis terhadap Kemampuan Numerasi Siswa SMP

Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengkaji pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Parengan. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan jenis ex post facto. Sebanyak 66 siswa dari kelas VIII B dan VIII E dipilih sebagai sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data resiliensi matematis dikumpulkan melalui angket, sedangkan data kemampuan numerasi diperoleh melalui tes. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana setelah data memenuhi uji prasyarat analisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif juga signifikan antara resiliensi matematis dan kemampuan numerasi, yang ditunjukkan oleh persamaan regresi Ŷ = 33,23 + 0,50X dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (< 0,05). Selain itu, didapatkan nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) 0,373 yang berarti resiliensi matematis dapat menjelaskan 37,3% variasi kemampuan numerasi siswa, sedangkan 62,7% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian. Temuan ini mengindakasikn bahwa siswa dengan tingkat resiliensi matematis yang lebih baik cenderung lebih efektif dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan numerasi. Oleh sebab itu, pengembangan resiliensi matematis perlu menjadi perhatian dalam pembelajaran matematika guna mendukung peningkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa.

Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the effect of mathematical resilience on the numeracy skills of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Parengan. The study employed a quantitative approach and utilized an ex post facto design. A total of 66 students from eighth-grade classes B and E were chosen using cluster random sampling to serve as the sample. Data on mathematical resilience were collected via a questionnaire, while data on numeracy skills were obtained through a test. Simple linear regression was used to analyze the data after the data met the prerequisites for analysis. The results of the analysis indicated a positive and significant relationship between mathematical resilience and numeracy skills, as shown by the regression equation Ŷ = 33.23 + 0.50X with a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05). Additionally, a coefficient of determination (R-squared) of 0.373 was obtained, meaning that mathematical resilience can explain 37.3% of the variation in students’ numeracy skills, whilst other factors not covered in this study have an impact on the remaining 62.7%.. These findings indicate that students with higher levels of mathematical resilience tend to be more effective in solving numeracy problems. Therefore, the development of mathematical resilience needs to be a focus in mathematics instruction to support improvements in students’ numeracy skills.
