Abstract
Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the essential competencies that students need to develop in mathematics learning. However, this ability remains relatively low, particularly in quadratic function material. Therefore, a learning model that actively engages students, promotes collaboration, and integrates technology into the learning process is needed. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the LC 5E model based on Active Teamwork assisted by Canva Whiteboard on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in quadratic function material. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of students in class X7 as the experimental group, who were taught using the LC 5E model based on Active Teamwork assisted by Canva Whiteboard, and students in class X1 as the control group, who received conventional instruction. Data were collected through mathematical problem-solving tests, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, an independent sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the data from both groups were normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing yielded a t-value of 2.059 and a t-table value of 1.994 at the 5% significance level, indicating that t-value > t-table value. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis produced an average score of 0.52, which was categorized as moderate. The findings indicate that students who learned through the LC 5E model based on Active Teamwork assisted by Canva Whiteboard demonstrated better mathematical problem-solving ability than those who received conventional instruction. Therefore, the LC 5E model based on Active Teamwork assisted by Canva Whiteboard can be considered effective in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in quadratic function material.
