Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemanfaatan media video animasi berkarakter dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Ngasem Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026 yang berjumlah 195 siswa. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas VII-B. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket pemanfaatan media video animasi berkarakter dan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis pada materi aljabar. Sebelum digunakan, instrumen diuji validitas, reliabilitas, dan tingkat kesukarannya. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan nilai Aiken’s V berkisar antara 0,750–0,875 sehingga seluruh butir soal dinyatakan valid. Hasil uji reliabilitas memperoleh koefisien Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,872 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media video animasi berkarakter memiliki hubungan positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Penggunaan media video animasi berkarakter dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep aljabar, meningkatkan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran, serta mendorong munculnya ide-ide kreatif dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika.

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship between the utilization of character-based animated video media and students' mathematical creative thinking abilities. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ngasem in the 2025/2026 academic year totaling 195 students. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling, namely class VII-B. Research instruments included a questionnaire on the utilization of character-based animated video media and a mathematical creative thinking test on algebra material. Prior to implementation, the instruments were tested for validity, reliability, and difficulty level. The validity test showed Aiken’s V values ranging from 0.750 to 0.875, indicating that all items were valid. The reliability test yielded a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.872, categorized as very high. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicated a positive relationship between the utilization of character-based animated video media and students' mathematical creative thinking abilities. The use of character-based animated videos helps students understand algebraic concepts, increases engagement in learning, and encourages the generation of creative ideas in solving mathematical problems
