Pengembangan E-Book Numerasi Matematika Dengan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Untuk Siswa SD/MI

Sebagian besar masalah dalam pembelajaran yaitu peserta didik belum mampu memahami konsep secara optimal khususnya pada materi numerasi, terutama dalam menghubungkan konsep dengan situasi di kehidupann sehari-hari. Melalui pendekatan RME, peserta didik didorong untuk berpikir kritis, menalar, serta menemukan solusi dari permasalahan kontekstual secara mandiri. Studi ini
bertujuan untuk merancang e-Book Numerasi melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan platform flipbook dan menganalisis kevalidan, keefektifan, serta kepraktisan terhadap penggunaannya dalam mendukung pengembangan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik sekolah dasar. Studi ini menggunakan metode Research and
Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahapan, yaitu analyze, design, development, implementation, dan evaluate. Prosedur pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara, validasi ahli materi dan media, pretest-posttest, serta angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa e-Book yang dikembangkan
memperoleh tingkat kevalidan sebesar 0,79 berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan 0,88 berdasarkan penilaian ahli media. Hasil pretest-posttest menunjukkan persentase sebesar 52% dalam uji skala kecil dan 81% dalam uji skala besar. Sementara itu, tingkat kepraktisan berdasarkan angket respon peserta didik memperoleh persentase sebesar 85% dalam skala kecil dan 81% dalam skala besar.
Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa e-Book Numerasi Matematika dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dalam bentuk flipbook dinyatakan valid serta sangat sesuai untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

One of the main challenges in learning is that students are not yet able to fully grasp concepts, particularly in numeracy, especially when it comes to connecting these concepts to real-life situations. Through the RME approach, students are encouraged to think critically, reason logically, and independently find solutions to contextual problems. This study aims to design a Numeracy e-
Book using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in mathematics learning via a flipbook platform and to analyze its validity, effectiveness, and practicality in supporting the development of elementary school students’ numeracy skills. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which comprises five stages:
analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluate. Data collection procedures in this study include interviews, subject matter and media expert validation, pretest-posttest assessments, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study show that the developed e-book achieved a validity score of 0.79 based on subject matter expert evaluation and 0.88 based on media expert
evaluation. The pretest-posttest results showed a percentage of 52% in the small-scale test and 81% in the large-scale test. Meanwhile, the practicality level, as determined by the student response questionnaire, yielded a percentage of 85% in the small-scale test and 81% in the large-scale test. Based on these findings, the researchers concluded that the Mathematics Numeracy e-Book using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in the form of a flipbook is valid and highly suitable for implementation in elementary school learning.
