Abstract

abstrak— Penelitian ini membahas analisis wacana kritis terhadap berita boikot Trans 7 terkait isu santri yang berkembang di media sosial X. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk analisis wacana kritis pada pemberitaan boikot Trans 7 terkait santri di media sosial X serta menjelaskan tujuan analisis tersebut dalam mengungkap ideologi, relasi kuasa, dan konstruksi makna yang berkembang di ruang publik digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) model Norman Fairclough. Data penelitian berupa tweet, reply, quote tweet, hashtag, serta teks berita daring yang berkaitan dengan boikot Trans 7 terkait santri. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi digital, observasi nonpartisipan terhadap media sosial X, serta teknik simak dan catat. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan tiga dimensi Fairclough, yaitu analisis teks, praktik diskursif, dan praktik sosial.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wacana boikot Trans 7 dibangun melalui penggunaan diksi evaluatif, representasi identitas santri, serta penggunaan tagar sebagai simbol mobilisasi digital. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa bahasa dalam media tidak bersifat netral, melainkan menjadi sarana pembentukan opini, legitimasi ideologi, dan praktik resistensi sosial.

Abstract- This study presents a critical discourse analysis of news reports on the Trans 7 boycott related to the issue of santri that has been circulating on social media platform X. The study aims to describe the form of critical discourse analysis applied to news coverage of the Trans 7 boycott related to santri on social media platform X, as well as to explain the purpose of this analysis in uncovering the ideologies, power relations, and constructions of meaning that emerge in the digital public sphere. This study employs a qualitative approach using Norman Fairclough’s model of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The research data consists of tweets, replies, quote tweets, hashtags, and online news articles related to the Trans 7 boycott concerning santri. Data collection techniques included digital documentation, non-participant observation of social media platform X, and note-taking. Data analysis was conducted using Fairclough’s three dimensions: text analysis, discursive practices, and social practices. The results of the study indicate that the discourse surrounding the Trans 7 boycott was constructed through the use of evaluative language, the representation of santri identity, and the use of hashtags as symbols of digital mobilization. This study reaffirms that language in the media is not neutral but rather serves as a means of shaping public opinion, legitimizing ideologies, and facilitating social resistance.
