Abstract

This study intends to analyze and assess the implementation of changes to the marriage age limit as stipulated in Law Number 16 of 2019. This study examines aspects influencing early marriage and describes the steps taken by the Religious Affairs Office in Cepu District to reduce the number of early marriages, ensuring that this regulation is effectively implemented. Marriage is the first step in establishing a harmonious and sustainable family based on the teachings of God Almighty. From these changes, we can evaluate whether the implementation of the marriage age limit has been carried out effectively, what steps have been taken to prevent marriages under the stipulated age, and whether its implementation is in line with existing regulations. Therefore, This study intends to evaluate the degree to which the age limit changes have been implemented in the Cepu District Religious Affairs Office. This research is an empirical legal study. Data collection methods were conducted through interviews at the Cepu District Religious Affairs Office and through primary data collection from field sources.
