Abstract

Abstrak
Perkembangan infrastruktur teknologi informasi dan meningkatnya kompleksitas jaringan komputer menuntut adanya sistem monitoring yang mampu memberikan visibilitas jaringan secara real-time, terintegrasi, dan berbasis data. Namun, proses monitoring jaringan di lingkungan pendidikan masih banyak dilakukan secara manual sehingga deteksi gangguan jaringan sering terlambat dan bersifat reaktif. Selain itu, sistem monitoring yang digunakan umumnya belum mampu menyajikan visualisasi metrik jaringan secara komprehensif dan memberikan notifikasi dini terhadap potensi gangguan jaringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan dashboard monitoring jaringan menggunakan Prometheus sebagai time-series database dan Grafana sebagai visualisasi pada lingkungan jaringan IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Sistem monitoring dikembangkan menggunakan Prometheus untuk proses pengumpulan dan penyimpanan data metrik berbasis time-series, SNMP Exporter dan Blackbox Exporter sebagai pengambil data metrik jaringan, serta Grafana sebagai platform visualisasi dashboard interaktif. Dashboard dirancang untuk memantau berbagai metrik jaringan seperti penggunaan CPU, penggunaan memori, bandwidth, latency, packet loss, dan status layanan jaringan secara real-time. Pengujian produk dilakukan melalui validasi ahli sistem informasi dan ahli jaringan, pengujian Black Box Testing, serta uji implementasi pada jaringan IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro dengan melibatkan administrator jaringan sebagai pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dashboard monitoring jaringan yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan visibilitas kondisi jaringan secara real-time, mempercepat proses deteksi gangguan jaringan, serta membantu administrator jaringan dalam melakukan pemantauan dan pengambilan keputusan secara lebih efektif. Selain itu, dashboard memperoleh respons positif dari pengguna karena memiliki tampilan visual yang informatif, mudah digunakan, dan mampu menampilkan data historis jaringan secara terstruktur. Sistem monitoring juga dinilai layak digunakan sebagai solusi monitoring jaringan berbasis open-source yang mendukung pengelolaan infrastruktur jaringan di lingkungan kampus.

Abstract
The development of information technology infrastructure and the increasing complexity of computer networks require monitoring systems capable of providing real-time, integrated, and data-driven network visibility. However, network monitoring processes in educational environments are still largely performed manually, resulting in delayed and reactive detection of network disruptions. In addition, existing monitoring systems generally lack the ability to present comprehensive network metric visualizations and provide early notifications of potential network issues. This study aimed to design and develop a network monitoring dashboard using Prometheus as a time-series database and Grafana as a visualization platform within the network environment of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. This research applied the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The monitoring system was developed using Prometheus for collecting and storing time-series metric data, SNMP Exporter and Blackbox Exporter for retrieving network metrics, and Grafana as an interactive dashboard visualization platform. The dashboard was designed to monitor various network metrics such as CPU usage, memory usage, bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and network service status in real-time. Product testing was conducted through validation by information systems experts and network experts, Black Box Testing, and implementation trials within the IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro network involving network administrators as users. The results showed that the developed network monitoring dashboard was able to improve real-time network visibility, accelerate network disruption detection processes, and assist network administrators in monitoring and decision-making more effectively. In addition, the dashboard received positive responses from users because it provided informative visual displays, was easy to use, and was capable of presenting structured historical network data. The monitoring system was also considered feasible as an open-source network monitoring solution to support network infrastructure management in the campus environment.
