Dampak Ketergantungan Mahasiswa terhadap Penggunaan AI (Artificial Intelligence) di Bidang Akademik

Artikel ini membahas dampak kecerdasan buatan AI (Artificial Intelligence) terhadap mahasiswa dalam lingkungan akademik dan menawarkan strategi mitigasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur yang mengkaji peristiwa-peristiwa penting yang terjadi dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Temuan mengungkap dampak dualisme: di satu sisi, AI (Artificial Intelligence) meningkatkan efisiensi belajar. Di sisi lain, ketergantungan berlebihan berisiko mengurangi keterampilan berpikir kritis, meningkatkan plagiarisme, dan menghambat perkembangan intelektual. Sebagai solusi, artikel ini menguraikan pendekatan tiga arah yang mendukung lembaga pendidikan, siswa, dan guru itu sendiri, dengan penekanan pada literasi digital, pengembangan kurikulum, dan mengembangkan pola pikir yang sesuai untuk memanfaatkan AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Abstract— This article discusses the impacts of artificial intelligence AI (Artificial Intelligence) on students in academic settings and offers mitigation strategies. The research method used is a literature study that examines important events that have occurred in recent years. The findings reveal the dual impact: on one hand, AI (Artificial Intelligence) enhances learning efficiency; on the other hand, excessive reliance risks reducing critical thinking skills, increasing plagiarism, and hindering intellectual development. As a solution, this article outlines a three-pronged approach that supports educational institutions, students, and teachers themselves, with an emphasis on digital literacy, curriculum development, and cultivating a mindset suitable for leveraging AI (Artificial Intelligence).
