PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PROBLEM SOLVING MATEMATIS SISWA SMP MELALUI MODEL MISSOURI MATHEMATICS PROJECT (MMP) MODIFIED

Abstrak

Model Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) modified adalah kombinasi model Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) dan metode pembelajaran case study yang mendorong siswa untuk selalu menganalisis dalam penyelesaian permasalahan yang diberikan mulai dari pemahaman soal, menganalisis soal dan penyelesaian soal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan problem solving matematis dalam pengaplikasian model Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) modified khususnya pada mata pelajaran aritmatika sosial pada siswa kelas VII-E SMPN 1 Parengan tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan desain penelitian yang dipakai adalah Quasi experimental dengan bentuk pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes, yaitu pretest dan posttest yang dilakukan diawal dan akhir penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat peningkatan nilai siswa yang menggunakan model Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) modified pada pokok bahasan Aritmatika Sosial mendapat nilai rata-rata 74,61. Sehingga hasil tersebut unggul dibandingkan dengan nilai siswa yang menggunakan model Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) yaitu dengan rata-rata 62,18.

Abstract

Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) modified model was a combination of Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP)  model and case studied learned method that encourages students to always analyse in solved the problems given starting from understanding the problem, analysing the problem and solved the problem.  This studied was conducted to saw the improvement of mathematical problem solved skills in the application of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) modified model, especially in the subject of social arithmetic in class vii-e students of SMPN 1 Parengan in the 2024/2025 school year.  The typed of researched used in this studied was researched used a quantitative approached.While the researched design used was quasi experimental with the form of pretest-posttest controlled group design.  This studied used test instruments, namely pretests and posttests conducted at the beginning and end of the studied.  The results of this studied were that there was an increase in the scores of students who used the missouri mathematics project (mmp) modified model on the subject of social arithmetic getting an average score of 74. 61.  So that these results were superior compared to the valued of students who used the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) model, which was with an average of 62. 18.
