Analisis Pendekatan Semiotik pada Puisi “Buku Baru” Karya Wagiman, S.Pd., M.Pd. dan Khaidar Naufal Pasingsingan
Abstract
abstrak— Puisi "Buku Baru" menggambarkan pandangan kritis terhadap pengalaman membaca dalam era digital yang serba visual dan audio. Penyair dengan tajam mengekspresikan ketidakpuasan terhadap buku konvensional yang hanya menawarkan teks tanpa pengalaman multimedia. Melalui pendekatan semiotik, penelitian ini membahas makna yang tersirat dalam puisi tersebut dengan menganalisis tanda-tanda dan simbol-simbol yang digunakan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif yang dimana menggunakan teknik uji pustaka. Hasil analisis yang didapatkan yaitu puisi ini secara ironis mencari buku yang bisa memberikan pengalaman multimedia, meskipun secara harfiah tidak ada. Penutup puisi mencerminkan sikap apatis dan alienasi pembaca terhadap buku, diibaratkan dengan kebutaan dan kebisuan, menciptakan siklus ketidakpedulian terhadap pengalaman membaca.

abstract— The poem "Buku Baru" describes a critical view of the reading experience in the digital era that is all visual and audio. The poet sharply expresses dissatisfaction with conventional books that only offer text without a multimedia experience. Through a semiotic approach, this study discusses the implied meaning in the poem by analyzing the signs and symbols used. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with library study techniques. The results of the analysis show that this poem ironically seeks a book that can provide a multimedia experience, even though it literally does not exist. The ending of the poem reflects the reader's apathy and alienation towards books, likened to blindness and silence, creating a cycle of indifference towards the reading experience.
