Sinergi Pendidikan Lingkungan dan Kewarganegaraan dalam Meningkatkan Kesadaran Konservasi Alam pada Generasi Muda

Abstract


Pendidikan lingkungan dan kewarganegaraan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran konservasi di kalangan generasi muda, terutama di pusat masalah lingkungan global seperti perubahan iklim dan penurunan keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruhnya pada pendidikan lingkungan terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan konservasi di kalangan remaja berusia 15-24 tahun. Menggunakan pendekatan campuran, data dikumpulkan dari 200 responden melalui survei kuantitatif dan wawancara mendalam dengan 20 peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan tentang konservasi dari 55% menjadi 78%, serta perubahan sikap positif dari 40% menjadi 75%. Selain itu, keterlibatan dalam aktivitas konservasi meningkat dari 30% menjadi 65%. Wawancara mengungkapkan bahwa pengalaman praktis, seperti penanaman pohon dan pembersihan pantai, memperkuat pemahaman peserta tentang isu-isu lingkungan dan meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab mereka. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan lingkungan yang interaktif dan berbasis pengalaman efektif dalam mengembangkan generasi muda yang memiliki kepedulian tinggi dan tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan. Maka dari itu, mengembangkan program pendidikan lingkungan yang inovatif dan kontekstual sangat penting untuk keberlanjutan konservasi alam di masa depan.
