Metaverse: Konsep Pendidikan yang Akan Datang

Abstract


Abstrak— Di dunia pendidikan, jagat maya telah membuka banyak kesempatan untuk berinovasi dalam proses belajar mengajar, itu terjadi karena kita bisa mendapatkan informasi, baik dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas lewat dunia maya. Banyak teknologi baru yang digunakan dalam  pendidikan, salah satunya adalah meningkatnya minat terhadap teknologi Metaverse. Istilah "Metaverse" mengacu pada lingkungan digital yang imersif di mana Anda dapat berinteraksi dengan avatar virtual. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan kajian literatur, yang merupakan  bagian penting dari pengumpulan data dari jurnal, artikel atau publikasi lain yang berhubungan dengan topik yang dibahas. Hasil dari studi menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan Metaverse berkembang seiring waktu. Secara khusus, pada terjadinya COVID 19 pemerintah memberlakukan pembatasan berikut pada pendidikan. Misalnya batas kapasitas kelas pandemi, jarak dan batas waktu  masuk kelas , dan lain sebagainya. Metaverse diyakini dapat mengatasi keterbatasan yang ada  dalam dunia pendidikan, seperti pemanfaatan pembelajaran digital. media pembelajaran tersebut berbasis augmented reality dan virtual reality. Konsep dunia maya memungkinkan pembelajaran online menjadi lebih interaktif tanpa mempengaruhi pengalaman belajar siswa. Belajar kapan saja, di mana saja adalah konsep menarik yang disukai banyak siswa saat ini. Diharapkan metaverse akan memasuki banyak bidang kehidupan masyarakat dalam waktu  dekat.

Abstract— In the world of education, cyberspace has opened up many opportunities to innovate in the teaching and learning process, this happens because we can get information, both in class and outside the classroom through cyberspace. Many new technologies are used in education, one of which is the increasing interest in Metaverse technology. The term "Metaverse" refers to an immersive digital environment where you can interact with virtual avatars. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using a literature review, which is an important part of collecting data from journals, articles or other publications related to the topics discussed. The results of the study show that the development of the Metaverse evolves over time. In particular, during the onset of COVID 19 the government imposed the following restrictions on education. For example, pandemic class capacity limits, distance and time limits for class entry, and so on. Metaverse is believed to be able to overcome the limitations that exist in the world of education, such as the use of digital learning. The learning media is based on augmented reality and virtual reality. The concept of cyberspace allows online learning to be more interactive without affecting the student's learning experience. Learning anytime, anywhere is an interesting concept that many students love today. It is hoped that the metaverse will enter many areas of people's lives in the near future.
