Abstract—This research aims to describe the value of character education in the story book 1001 Malam Abu Nawas Sang Penggeli Hati by MB. Rahimsyah. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely a search for facts with appropriate interpretation. The source of research data is the story book 1001 nights of Abu Nawas, the tickle of hearts. Qualitative data analysis is inductive, namely an analysis based on the data obtained, then certain relationship patterns or hypotheses are developed. Data validity uses semantic validity, while data reliability uses intrarater and interrater techniques. The results of the research show that the value of character education in the story book 1001 nights of Abu Nawas, the Heartbreaker, was found to consist of seventeen characters representing eighteen characters from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Where the characters that often appear in the story are creative and socially concerned. This implies that the book has a story that can be adopted into formal learning at junior high school level.
