Uji Validitas dan Reliabilitas Instrumen Penelitian Tingkat Pemahaman Teks Novel

Abstract


Abstract— This research aims to ensure that the questions created to measure students' understanding of novel text material can be used properly. This instrument is designed based on aspects of students' ability to understand literary texts, including the ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate the content of the text. Validation was carried out in two stages. namely with two subjects, the Indonesian language teacher as validator of test instrument items and students as test instrument testers. The data in this research is in the form of scores and grades taken from questionnaires and tests. The results of this research include 1) validity, 2) reliability, 3) level of difficulty of items on understanding novel texts using quantitative methods. So from data analysis, it was found that each question in this instrument was in accordance with the research objectives. Apart from that, the test results show that this instrument is not consistent in providing the same results when used repeatedly. Thus, this instrument is considered less suitable for use by upper secondary students and requires revision of the previous questions for further research on the novel text in depth.
