PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI BANGUN RUANG

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap
peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi bangun ruang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah
eksperimen semu (quaisi experiment) dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian
ini dilaksanakan di kelas VII A MTs Roudlotus Sholihin pada tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Subjek
penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa yang dijadikan sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian
ini berupa 20 butir soal pilihan gada yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli, diuji reliabilitasnya, serta
dianalisis tingkat kesukarannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil
belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya model Problem Based Learning. Nilai rata-rata pretest siswa
adalah 58,17, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest meningkat menjadi 83,17. Teknik analisis data
menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel. Hasil uji menunjukan
bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig. 5%) sebesar 9,56>0,1697, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang
signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan
model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar
matematika siswa kelas VII A MTs Roudlotus Sholihin pada materi bangun ruang. Model ini dapat
menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika
di tingkat MTs.

Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on
improving students' mathematics learning outcomes in spatial geometry. This is a quasi
experimental study with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study was conducted in class
VII A of MTs Roudlotus Sholihin during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects
consisted of 30 students who were assigned to the experimental group. The research instrument
comprised 20 multiple-choice questions that had been validated by experts, tested for reliability,
and analyzed for difficulty levels. The results of the study showed that there was an improvement in
student learning outcomes after the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model. The
average pretest score of the students was 58.17, while the average posttest score increased to
83.17. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test with the assistance of Microsoft
Excel. The test results show that the significance value (Sig. 5%) is 9.56>0.1697, which means that
there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Thus, it can be concluded
that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model has a significant effect on improving the
mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII A students at MTs Roudlotus Sholihin in the subject of
spatial figures. This model can serve as an effective and innovative alternative learning strategy in
mathematics education at the MTs level.
